264.01 // Viper droids found and dispatched

After the events of last night, the Council would like to issue a formal statement.

At roughly 1930 GST a meteorite crashed into the Jungle on the south side of the temple. A few minutes later a Viper class Probe droid was witnessed by several students and Knights before it retreated into the jungle.  By the time a second Viper droid entered the grounds, Knight Stomi was already in a ship and managed to Ray scan the droid – sending the data to the Temples database – before destroying it. With the additional data, Master Nhix’s satellite defence system was able to target the first droid and destroy it.

263.25 // Council Advisor Changes

As one Council Advisor leaves, two more join the ranks…

In an unprecedented series of events, Master Ederoi has left his position as a Council Advisor and left the temple on Yavin IV,  while Knight Exan and Knight Vigil have joined the trusted board of advisors.

Knight Ederoi had made his decision to leave several cycles ago and preparations for his  departure culminated in the promotion of the two Knights and a brief visit to his home planet Ziost. Read the rest of this entry »

Shaildka’s bill proves successful as Podracing is legalized in the GA after a majority vote within the senate yesterday.

Yesterday the senate approved the legalization of Podracing with a 67.3% vote of approval. Senator Shaildka of Malastare, who had originally lobbied for this action is “Delighted with the news” telling GHN;

“I am more than pleased with how this vote turned out. I look forward to making Podracing the exciting sport it was centuries ago.”

For the first time in over a century, the Galactic Credit is down by more than 8 Percent. The unprecedented fall, at 15 Percent, could cost many financial district workers their jobs. The senior partner at The Bank of Coruscant,  Mr San Hill VII from Muunilist, has resigned after issuing the following public apology;

Some serious mistakes have been made over the last five years that have lead to this difficult situation. Many of those mistakes were made under my watch. I have no excuses but hope that in time, history will tell both sides of the story and recognise that these mistakes were made under exceptionally difficult circumstances. That is all.

Podracing faced the ban centuries ago but could it resurface under the Galactic Alliances’ leadership?

Podracing had been a popular sport in many less-developed worlds across the galaxy, particularly in the outer rim before it faced its ban so long ago. The dangerous sport was outlawed shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars due to its extremely high level of risk to the racers’ involved. Many of the popular racers of the time were taken into custody for a number of crimes also leading to the sports downfall in popularity.
