294.16 // Academy Heist

We’re now going live to Corellia where Rin Jaicup is awaiting word regarding a stolen piece of Corellian history, Rin?

“Thank you Ular. As you can see, I’m standing here on the front steps of the Corellian Academy Of Arts, where not too long ago one of the most expansive and unique pieces of historical art ever created by a Corellian, has disappeared. The painting, known as “The Defense of Kolene” dates back a several thousand years, in which time it has seen several long and expensive restorations. We here at GHN don’t wish to guess the fate of this painting, but we do have it on a reliable source that this was no small operation. The painting itself spans almost two-hundred square feet, and has it’s own dedicated viewing gallery. It was created during-…what? Oh, we have an entourage from CorSec leaving the building now, we’re going to move in and try to get a statement!”

“Ladies and gentlemen, as it has been reported, “The Defense of Kolene” has been misplaced from the exposition block of the Academy. Now, details are unclear at this time, but I can tell you this much: the painting was moved out of the exposition the same way that it was brought into the academy: through the skylight. After examination we’ve concluded that it was recently dismantled and re-assembled. We presume that perpetrators used a stealth-equipped transport big enough for the painting. At this time, there is no more information we can readily share, good day.”

“Mister Kiorl..Mister Kiorl! …Well, you heard it Ular, CorSec will have their hands full ensuring that this historic piece is returned in good shape. I am Rin Jaicup, GHN, back to you Ular.”

293.20 // Volunteers Needed

My friends and brethren,

The Temples on Ossus and Dantooine have been in a state of ruin the last several years, with most of their residents having been slain in the Mandalorian attack or forced to evacuate off-world. With news of the cease-fire, we have decided that the time has come to re-build our temple walls and continue our traditions of training and teaching.

These goals are not, however, something that we can attain on our own. We have many students without Masters, many of them with little understanding of what happened to their former teachers. Combine that with our limited resources and manpower, and what remains is not a very pretty picture.

We ask that any willing and able-bodied Jedi, Knight and Student alike, lend their hand in re-establishing our Enclave. Those who wish to sign on should contact their local Exploration Corps representative, or simply respond to this message. The Council will then inform those able volunteers who are permitted to aid in this effort.

May the Force be with us in this time of restoration.

Jedi Master Nagu Ponst,
Jedi High Councillor

291.11 // New arrivals to the Enclave

The Jedi Council would like to take this opportunity to welcome our three new Initiates, Rei Xaria, Ru Seentras and Erto Ramor, as well as our new transfer student, Sawyer Snow to the Order. You have all taken your first steps on a long journey which will be both challenging and enlightening. Listen well to you mentors, teachers and fellow students and you will do well.

Welcome to the Order.

The Jedi Council.

290.22 // Breaking News: Ascendancy Sends Request For Ceasefire!

Reports are coming in and spreading across all communication frequencies, that the official request for a ceasefire has just been received from the Ascendancy’s government in Csaplar, on Csilla. The request states their wish to negotiate terms to ending the War and respectfully ask for a ceasefire, putting an end to what has been a rigorous assault on the lower Chiss Space.

There have been reports of rejoicing on both sides as orders came in for the military to cease all operations and retreat back to their respective military holding. With this, it appears that the seemingly endless and costly War is now coming to it’s inevitable end – and not a moment too soon for all the men and women caught up in these battles.

Sources say that, upon the arrest and capture of the Ascendancy Commander in Chief, the long sought after Rinne’selen’omare was found on the surface of Copero. Additionally, the effects gained by the substantial loss to the Ascendancy fleet in the Southern Territories, and Southern Chiss Space, placed tremendous pressure onto the ruling houses of the Ascendancy hierarchy. However, after the fall of Rhigar due to the joint efforts of the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi Order branch on Coruscant, the decision was made to request a ceasefire and negotiate the terms to ending the War.

Acting Chief-of-State, Admiral Wilkinson, was quick to release the following statement.

“A few days ago, I asked a tremendous amount from all the men and women within our Military but also from across all departments aiding our efforts in the final stages of this War. We have suffered great losses and we have had to endure a greater pain, as the War continued to escalate in severity and intensity. However, I can confirm that today the Ascendancy ruling body has sent contact which requests a ceasefire to end the War and a meeting to negotiate terms. Intelligence suggests this is a legitimate request and we have taken the decision to accept it.

I ask for a little more time of you all now, but I assure you that we will act quickly and decisively to ensure the War is finished and that no further conflict shall continue.

Soon… we will be going home.”

290.21 // Prisoner-of-War Camps Liberated

Jedi strike teams have uncovered Chiss-run prisoner-of-war camps on the Ascendancy world of Sarvchi, after a devastating attack on Ascendancy military operations in the system. Sarvchi, the ancestral home of one of the Chiss ruling families, has been the focus of ongoing military operations in the past cycle. The ground operation, carried out by former members of the Ossus, Ilum and Dantooine branches of the Jedi Order, was intended to drive out the last remaining Chiss military assets but has instead discovered captured Alliance and Commonwealth personnel in high-security labour camps in the planet’s southern region. Reports suggest the camps have been in place for some time – GHN has learned that a number of inmates have been there since before the surrender of the Commonwealth, while eyewitness accounts imply that the camps themselves appear to be purpose-built facilities that predate the current conflict. A Coalition spokesperson has emphasised that all prisoners appear to be in good health, despite the nature of their detention, and will be returned to their homes soon.
