271.12 // Pirate Activity in the Cirrus Sector

Pirate activity in the Cirrus Sector has been a problem the Galactic Alliance has had to deal with for so long that it has almost become the norm. However, lately this activity has become  more intense, which has lead to an increase in complaints from the local government about the lack of control from the Galactic Alliance over the sector.

Cirrus

Among the most notable recent robberies was that which involved the wealthy businessman Lidropol Luchak, of Nubia, who was going to visit the planet Cirrus on vacation. Unfortunately,  he was a victim of a pirate boarding along with the rest of the crew on his ship on 271.09.

Fortunately, the crew has only suffered the psychological shock from this event. The pirates left the ship as soon as they had plundered everything they could collect, gaining a decent treasure.

In reply to this incident, the Galactic Alliance has declared there will be more control over the sector, in order to gain an upper hand in the problem that afflicts this sector.

271.09 // Nensil Rebellion Ends with Alliance Victory

The  officers of the Galactic Alliance Military now march freely in the entirety of Zvarma City as the Coalition of Rejok, the rebel military group, has surrendered unconditionally. After relentless guerilla attacks upon the weakened rebels, the rogue generals saw the futility of the situation, signaling for a cease-fire early this morning. With the fighting now stopped, the defeated leaders of the rebellion will be interrogated as their men will be imprisoned and shall await processing.

Though this rebellion has been short-lived, the body toll has been estimated to be over 105,000 persons, militaristic or otherwise. The Galactic Alliance has commented that their military presence will remain to settle the planet from its previous conflict, but to also find the supposed commander in chief of the rebel forces in the form of the Dark Jedi Rejok. His current whereabouts are unknown, and there has been no current correlation with the previous presence of cultists on Tatooine. Galactic HoloNews will keep you updated as the loose ends of the war continuously tie up.

271.05 // Rebels Pushed Back as Galactic Alliance Surges

Upon the orders of General Thesor, a garrison of 525 Galactic Alliance troops descended from the Titan in an attempt to boost the Alliance’s strength on the surface of Zvarma City. Though a risky move to make within an urban environment, the extra surge of troops has effectively garnered a stronger presence within the capital, eliminating a greater number of resistance forces.

Combined with strategic bombing raids on rebel-controlled hangars, the skies within the atmosphere of Nensil are almost clear as the Galactic Alliance has begun to surround the entire capital, driving the rebels into the very thick of the city. When asked about the further strategy for victory, General Thesor gave Galactic HoloNews a brief statement:

They’re huddled within their protective den like frightened animals, and all that’s left to do is smoke them out.

271.03 // Galactic Alliance Gains Upper Hand, Loses Felion

After many hours of battle in the space surrounding Nensil, the two mysterious rebel ships that took the offensive against the Galactic Alliance support ships have at last been destroyed. In the process however, the Galactic Alliance ship Felion and its stationed crew have all perished in the defense of Nensil. Suffering from the combined effects of engine failure, shield generator failure and communications disruption, the capital ship fell rapidly onto the surface of Nensil, where it eventually found impact in a large, deserted plain and subsequently exploded.

Despite the loss of its heroic soldiers, the Galactic Alliance now dominates Nensil space as the Titan and Skywalker received no more than repairable damages. As the battle of Zvarma City still rages, the Galactic Alliance forces can fight with the confidence that only utter control can bring.
