267.28 // Jedi Master Jamus Kevari

jamus_masterhood

Jamus Kevari, the Battlemaster of the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV was formally recognized as a Jedi Master today by his fellow Jedi Masters, along with former Jedi Master Ctathos Ederoi, who was Master Kevari’s Master when he was a Padawan Learner.

Jedi Master Kevari is from the planet Dantooine, but has lived among the Jedi Order since he was Initiated on 236.30. He was initially taken as now-deceased Jedi Knight Alkaiser Aruladan’s Padawan Learner, but was soon transferred to former Jedi Master Ctathos Ederoi, who completed Kevari’s training. Since becoming a Jedi Knight on 248.10, Master Kevari has trained three Padawans, one of whom has been Knighted–Cyril Feraan. He succeeded his Master as the Battlemaster of the Temple on Yavin IV, and is well-known for not only being an excellent lightsaber instructor, but an excellent duelist himself. It is even rumored that he may be the best duelist in the Order. Due to his many accomplishments over the years, the other Jedi Masters of Yavin IV agreed that the relatively young Jedi Knight should be acknowledged as a peer and fellow Jedi Master.

On behalf of the Jedi Order, congratulations to Master Kevari. It is something he has earned.

264.16 // New Students, New Classes

JEDI Order – Following the Council Session of 264.15, two new Initiates have been selected as members of the Jedi Order: Lucius Vein and Sasha Raven. May their time within our ranks be long and prosperous.

The Council has also deemed that, in response to Jedi Master Ctathos Ederoi’s departure from the Order, Morals, Ethics, and Diplomacy (MED) will now be held with Jedi Knight Ergo Stomi. In addition, Knight Cyril Feraan will be responsible for a new class: Meditation and Philosophy. Knight Feraan will hold his first class of the session on 264.20, while Knight Stomi will be beginning during the next cycle on 264.24.

263.25 // Council Advisor Changes

As one Council Advisor leaves, two more join the ranks…

In an unprecedented series of events, Master Ederoi has left his position as a Council Advisor and left the temple on Yavin IV,  while Knight Exan and Knight Vigil have joined the trusted board of advisors.

Knight Ederoi had made his decision to leave several cycles ago and preparations for his  departure culminated in the promotion of the two Knights and a brief visit to his home planet Ziost. Read the rest of this entry »

261.17 // Jared Quell, Jedi Master

YAVIN IV — By the will of the Jedi Council and the Force, Jedi Knight and Council Advisor Jared Quell was granted the title of Jedi Master on 261.16. He has now been recognized by the Council of Masters as a fellow Jedi Master, due to his many years of service and commitment to the Order and by his actions, to the galaxy at large.

Jedi Master Quell trained as a Padawan Learner under the reputable training of fellow Jedi Master Gabe Alkorda and has since held the title of Jedi Knight. Master Quell dutifully served the Order as a faithful Knight, training several Padawan Learners, including Syrena Exan, a Falleen Jedi Knight and his first pupil. His work as a scholar and a teacher within the Order have proven invaluable during this time. He also served as a diplomat in several key conflicts, specifically the recent CW/GA Secessionary War in the late 240s ABY, aiding the Galactic Alliance and Commonwealth to ease tensions and ultimately achieve a resolution, bringing the war to a close.

On behalf of the Jedi Order, congratulations are due to the new Jedi Master Jared Quell.

259.23 // New Initiates

In the latest Council Session, the Jedi Council had chosen four specific hopefuls to begin their training in the Jedi Order. Throughout the last cycle these students were initiated and new faces around the temple now include:

  • Kenta (Chistori)
  • Sared Kilvan (Human)
  • Yrael Grekkis (Zabrak)
  • Ommar Starfall (Kushiban)

The Council looks forward to seeing each of these students meet and exceed their potential under the guidance and tutelage of the Knights and Masters of the Order.

A note to students: please make our newest students feel welcome and help them through the trying first cycles.
