Renowned Jizz-wailer musician Candin Larr’si has passed away today at the age of eighty-seven. It is suspected he died of natural causes. A memorial show will be scheduled following his death by fellow Jizz wailer bands to support the loss of this historic member of the movement. He played music to often sold out crowds, and supported several entertainment organization to produce income for poverty and orphanages in low level systems. He will be long remembered.

Galactic Press received an encoded message written in Huttese yesterday evening. Permission from local authorities of the Republic has allowed us to air this message, which undoubtedly states the declaration of war against the Jedi Order.

People of the Republic,

We are Dark Shield; a criminal syndicate designed to protect the interests of the free people who break from the system. The one percent of population who feel that the laws em-placed by your elected government are designed to take money from us, rather than provide us with it in the form of a socio-economic utopian world. We rule ourselves, we control our own money, and all those who feel the same. We are that utopia. The Jedi Order is merely a hand for the tyrannic, capitalist system that you all love so much. We hereby declare war against the hand; the Jedi Order. You recently interfered with our operations, so now we shall interfere with yours. You will hear from us, soon.

Republic Officials state that there should be no panic, that investigations into the Dark Shield have been growing and this latest message will allow a crucial strike in the heart of the criminal organisation. More as it develops.

After long deliberation, Senator Aprin Synax has passed a vote that will allow the system to use Republic currency. He gave a enlightening speech at the peak of his campaigning. He stated, “With the local trade routes running through this space, there’s a highway of wealth that we’re simply ignoring; wealth that could help us develop our education and local transport issues, and hopefully become a tourist spot for this sector”. The change will effect the local industry of intergalactic ship trading and repair franchises in a positive light, allowing them to become more affordable and hopefully introducing a new crowd of economy into the far-reached system.

Reports and studies have shown the Jedi Order has significantly decreased aid to planetary systems across the galaxy. The Jedi Order has denied request upon request of assistance with an increase of 110 % in the past five years. Questions are being raised given the severity of the situation faced by countless people overwhelmed by hardship.

Earlier today Senator Iordo Del’kee of New Alderaan proposed action in consequence to the Order’s indolence,

“Despite the Order’s compliance to the travel ban, there is no excuse for any of the other Jedi branches to remain as inactive as a hibernating Wampa. Is it too much to ask from the Galaxy’s ‘greatest defenders’ defend us in these dark times?! I think not!

If this dormant state persists, I will make a motion to remove majority funding to the Order and place it towards medical research for finding our beloved Republic a cure to this tormenting and infectious plague. Unless the High Council can answer for their rude, off-putting behavior, I and innumerable senators are prepared to take action!”

For the most part, people of the Republic share Senator Iordo’s sentiment, leaving many to angrily wonder, ”Where are our sworn protectors?”

As fear swells within the Republic with the death toll from the aggressive flu strand increases, medical practitioners and physiologists alike have been scrambling for the answer; a cure. Currently, there are many in the core who are isolated from humanitarian and medical support, though this may soon change, specifically for those suffering upon Coruscant.

In a breath-taking show of compassion, the two co-founders of Archlight Enterprise, now known today as AE-Technologies, one of the leading companies and organizations in military innovation, has donated 750 million credits to the cause. The pair went even further by sending a team of professionals on a potentially one way trip into the heart of the quarantine zone, Coruscant, in order to assist with the ongoing flu outbreak, which has now claimed hundreds of thousands of lives across numerous planets.

Doctor Aitress Xirmas and Scientific Engineer, Kalmaris Xirmas founded AE-Technologies back in 318.23 ABY. Married with two children of their own, Kalmaris had this to say for the galaxy…

“Our company has always had its share of ups and downs, as is the way with most things. Here at AE-Technologies, we hold a profound dedication to the continued efforts of the Republic Governance, that has kept us all safe for so long and seen to the success of our business with joint government projects. We now feel it’s time for us to give back, as we cannot ignore the demand for medicinal aid any longer. We have not forgotten those in need and hence forth, our single focus is going to be on the restoration and purification of Coruscant.In addition, I would like to condemn those who wish to downplay the significance of this pandemic. This outbreak will only get worse before it gets better, so more action is needed, not less. As parents, we hope our donation helps as many as possible, knowing that if they were our children out there, we would want nothing else but their return to good health so they could live a happy and full life.I call to others for aid. This menace will spread if we do not act now…”

In response, others have stepped forward to produce similar notions of support and tribute to Coruscant and its neighbouring systems. The Galactic Republic’s spokesperson for the Senate has yet to comment on AE-Technologies’ donation. When approached for an interview, they refused and claimed the situation was under control, yet the controversial move by Arclight Enterprise seems to suggests otherwise.
