269.09 // Jedi Knight Aknaross Myotis

After long lasting years of training, Aknaross fulfilled his destiny into becoming one, a fully trained Jedi Knight. Though training is done, learning never ends. As the Force holds many mysteries and secrets, it will be now upon Knight Myotis to uncover them as he learns from the Force itself.

Aknaross Myotis is an Echani Jedi from Wayland whose most recent accomplishment involved taking down the infamous gangster Gadvo Drovo. Aknaross is a master of unarmed combat, and has been trained in the path of a Jedi Consular.

Aknaross was trained by Jedi Master Corinth Alkorda until Master Alkorda took a sabbatical from the academy to aid the Corellian Security Force in an extended undercover operation. Master Alkorda – with the approval of the entire Yavin IV Council – placed Aknaross in the capable hands of Jedi Knight Nivek Tholmai. Knight Nivek Tholmai then completed Aknaross’ training.

The Council would like to commend and congratulate the efforts and dedication Knight Myotis gave to the Order, as well as the continuous commitment to the Vows he placed upon Joining the Order.

268.31 // Aslyn Denethorn Knighted

Aslyn Denethorn (22 years old) was yesterday pronounced Jedi, Knight of the order, by the Council of Yavin IV. Aslyn, who recently survived an encounter with a dark Jedi believed to be responsible for the recent spate of assassinations, was elated with the decision.

Aslyn was initiated on 254.29 and was trained by a total of three Masters. The late Spera Elusido was Aslyn’s first master, followed by Ctathos Ederoi after his death. Master Ederoi was unable to complete Denethorn’s training but remains in close contact with the Jedi Council and is “both proud and delighted with this decision.” Aslyn’s training was completed by Master Jared Quell, now of the High Council.

Aslyn’s career spans several successful field operations including the successful peace negotiations on Drache during 266 ABY between the rival societies of Heebra and Woosri.

We congratulate Knight Denethorn on his success and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

268.13 // A New Student

A Jedi isn’t just a connection to the Force. Being a Jedi takes commitment, dedication, conviction, but most of all, heart. Thus far Yulia Cera has demonstrated these things to our Academy, and that is why she is the latest addition to our home of learning, study, meditation and enlightenment. The Council wishes to assure Yulia that the path before her will be no easy task, but that they have faith in her, and know that she will one day become a strong Jedi Knight like those before her.

Please join us in congratulating our newest Initiate, Yulia Cera!

268.08 // Changes in the Ranks

After long lasting years of training, Moza Ferorn fulfilled his destiny into becoming one, a fully-trained Jedi Knight. Though training is done, learning never ends. As the Force holds many mysteries and secrets, it will be now upon Knight Ferorn to uncover them as he learns from the Force itself.

We, the Council, would like to commend and congratulate the brilliant efforts and dedication Knight Ferorn has given to the Order, as well as the continuous commitment to the vows he took upon joining the Order.

It is also with great pleasure that the Council wishes to welcome our new students in the ways of the Force and followers of the Light. Undoubtedly, Z’phos and Valon Rachius will grow strong and powerful under the tutelage of their Masters and friends here at the Jedi Academy of Yavin IV.

As we all know, the path of the Jedi is one hard task, filled with trials and temptations, but with enriching rewards from training and dedication. To become a Jedi is one hard task; to stay one is even harder. The Council has no doubt that Initiates Z’phos and Rachius will honor their vows into becoming, one day, powerful Jedi Knights of the Order.

267.28 // Jedi Master Jamus Kevari

jamus_masterhood

Jamus Kevari, the Battlemaster of the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV was formally recognized as a Jedi Master today by his fellow Jedi Masters, along with former Jedi Master Ctathos Ederoi, who was Master Kevari’s Master when he was a Padawan Learner.

Jedi Master Kevari is from the planet Dantooine, but has lived among the Jedi Order since he was Initiated on 236.30. He was initially taken as now-deceased Jedi Knight Alkaiser Aruladan’s Padawan Learner, but was soon transferred to former Jedi Master Ctathos Ederoi, who completed Kevari’s training. Since becoming a Jedi Knight on 248.10, Master Kevari has trained three Padawans, one of whom has been Knighted–Cyril Feraan. He succeeded his Master as the Battlemaster of the Temple on Yavin IV, and is well-known for not only being an excellent lightsaber instructor, but an excellent duelist himself. It is even rumored that he may be the best duelist in the Order. Due to his many accomplishments over the years, the other Jedi Masters of Yavin IV agreed that the relatively young Jedi Knight should be acknowledged as a peer and fellow Jedi Master.

On behalf of the Jedi Order, congratulations to Master Kevari. It is something he has earned.
