The trees are alive with the sound of music, laughter, and hearty talk amongst the wookiees here in the village of Kepitenochan on Kashyyyk. For the past several days, the Wookiees have been making preparations for their annual Life Day celebrations. It has been a hard year for the Galaxy and I am sad to say that many of its citizens will not be able to participate in Life Day this year. Those that do, however, can expect a merry time and will indubitably have many good times this holiday.

Reports have come in that several Galactic Alliance personnel have been spotted amongst the trees as well. Maybe they are there to help? Protection? Who knows? It warms my heart to know that there are still some people willing to help out and participate in this sacred celebration. In the past, it has been known that the occasional Jedi participates with the Wookiees, but no reports of their presence have been given.

Following the Council session on 269.30, a young Miraluka by the name of Daereon Daimon was welcomed into the Order by the esteemed Council alongside many other newly initiated young-lings. Now after many years of hard work, dedication and loyalty throughout his training, as of 284.29, The Council congratulates him on his recent promotion as a Jedi Knight.

Daereon has certainly faced his fair share of ups and downs throughout his life since setting down the path of a Jedi, but as a sign of his exemplary mentality he has shown his worth for such recognition. The Council would like to wish him the best upon his newest conquest and urge him to set and continue a high standard as a role model to the younger generation of youth set to walk the path he once walked.

Next cycle, the Coalition Military is expected to launch its latest recruitment initiative, aimed at capitalising on the passing of Senate Measure 8062297C two years ago.  Enlistment figures among 16 and 17-year olds has tailed off in recent months, and with the war showing no signs of reaching a conclusion, military officials are keen to keep a steady supply of reinforcements.

GHN was granted exclusive access to the materials soon to be hitting holo-mags and billboards across Allied space and is proud to be the first to reveal some of the highlights of this year’s campaign.

The speculation regarding the Commonwealths surrender has been non stop since it was announced by Prime Minister Selene that they were prepared to negotiate with the Ascendancy to bring about an end to their war. However, during this period the focus has shifted over to the Galactic Alliance as Chief of State Caden Aquitenne portrayed a strong notion to continue the war against the Ascendancy through to its conclusion, boldly stating, that it would be with the defeat of the Ascendancy.

Recently we launched a survey to gather the public opinion on the recent developments with the war, today we have released but only a few of the thousands of comments we received.
