307.05 // Gree Hypergate Discovered On Alzoc III

Astounding news today in the realm of archaeology as what has been confirmed to be an ancient ‘Gree Hypergate’ was officially unveiled as being discovered on the relatively backwater world of Alzoc I some months ago.

While local and independent archaeological teams initially found the site it was apparently after a team from the renowned ‘Exploration Corp’ of the Jedi Order arrived that progress was made on what was described by one of the lead researchers as an ‘unprecedented scale.’

Not only did the team acting on behalf of the Exploration Corp identify the gate they, beyond all odds apparently managed to get the gate operational, a feat long held impossible by even the Gree themselves today. While what they found at the other end of the gate is classified, what little has been revealed is that both the archaeological teams and the Exploration Corps have poured significant resources into exploring the site beyond the gate and supposedly establishing a research site there.

While it is not entirely known just how the Jedi who activated the gate managed to, it is known that Jedi Knight ‘Delmi N’jork’ is the one held with the most credit by those of his peers that were present with getting the gate operational.

While it is still not known just what they found on the other side of the gate, just where the gate linked to or indeed if it can yet be linked to the remainder of the Gree Hypergate network, what is known is that this is without a doubt one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the past several centuries.

306.30 // Jedi Related Crime Rate Up

In the news today, reports of a survey with documented evidence that show there has been a steady increase of crimes happening across the Galaxy, mostly near major landmarks and trade points which involve Jedi personnel, has been released to independent organisations and news sources. While it is obvious that these incidents are unique and independent of each other, public opinion of the Jedi Order has significantly decreased once again.

Senator Gylon of Bothawui, has always been in opposition of the Jedi Orders standing as an independent entity and has been openly critical since the release of these documents;

“As many of us know, the Jedi claim to be upholders of peace and guardians of the light. Though recently we have been receiving multiple accounts of what we believe to be Jedi committing petty crimes across the galaxy. In fact, just last night here on Coruscant there was a speeder hijacking in which the man was threatened with what has been hypothesized as the hilt of the famous Jedi Lightsaber. Sadly, these are not the only sighting of Jedi committing these sorts of crimes, the public in the surrounding areas have already reacted negatively towards the Jedi, claiming that they are no longer fit to protect.”

With this, Chief of State Malucia, is already being pressed on these matters in and out of Senate. Calls are being made for an investigation into these alleged incidents and a drafted plan on how the Jedi Order will be held accountable for these happens with the view to resolving these matters are quickly as possible. It is not sure how the Jedi Order has reacted to these reports or if they have responded to the allegations at all. One thing is for sure, the Jedi Order still has many supporters within the Senate and the public, who say that they are the main reason the War against the Ascendancy and Mandalorians was turned around then won. With the public and Senate so divided in opinion of the Jedi Order, the interest on how this will develop is already heating up.

306.24 // Political Crash Raises Eyebrows

Just in, reports coming from Alzoc III state that a Imperial Shuttle crashed last night as it was following a plotted course leading to it’s exit of the atmosphere, the crash apparently killing all who were on board.

Alzoc’s Chief Of Security Ikto Lón made a statement in the early hours of the morning;

“We can confirm that a Shuttle carrying Imperial personnel and convicted prisoners, cleared for transfer of custody to the Imperials, crashed into an isolated area in among the peaks of the Alzoc mountains. Investigations are on going as to the cause of the crash, but we are working diligently to get answers as to what happened. We can confirm that one survivor was found, through the dedicated and unselfish work of the Jedi Order, though sadly the man later succumbed to his injuries whilst receiving treatment.

I would like to extend my personal thanks to the Jedi in question, for their quick reactions to the discovery and attempted rescue, and offer my sincere condolences to the families effected by this tragedy.”

While we wait on the official reports from the investigations, it is understood that the Alzoc Security Forces have allowed the Imperials to conduct their own into the incident and have extended an invitation for them to travel to meet with the team based on Alzoc that are leading the investigation into the crash.

Not much is being said by the Jedi Order at this time, with regards as to how they executed this apparent rescue attempt. Though the lingering question from the public is, did they do everything they could  to rescue the stranded Imperial personnel and their passengers?

306.21 // Girl Kidnapped In Public By Jedi

Breaking news from Svivren, that a public kidnapping has taken place at rougly 0339GST today. Very little detail is available at this time, but witnesses say that an older man was holding onto a relatively young girl whilst yelling and acting aggressively towards other members of the public pleading with him to let the girl go.

Now, this is yet to be confirmed, but it is reported at one point the man was waving what can only be described as a Lightsaber, the symbolic weapon of the Jedi Order. However, authorities who have now cordoned off the area have begun questioning the witnesses and looking for leads as to the whereabouts of the two.

The Jedi Order has yet to comment, but we will bring you more on this as it develops…

306.19 // An Unsolved Robbery On Corellia?

News from Corellia, reports of a robbery in one of the largest branches in Crescent City has come to light under the most mysterious of circumstances. It is said that like all similar crimes of this nature, large amounts of credits have been taken and, while hostages were taken whilst inside the bank, all remained relatively unharmed as CorSec forced their way inside.

However, it was what they discovered that made this particular case the unsolved mystery that it is now regarded as. All of the would be robbers were found inside the building, sitting in an unlocked room in silence until approached by CorSec officials. Sources also indicate that pictures were taken of the security fields around the banks state of the art vault. Word has it that many of the parts were melted off of the walls at certain points which caused the vault to buckle and peel off.

The security footage was also destroyed.

Not much more is being said, but whispers inside CorSec say that the men being held under suspicion of the robbery do not seem like the type of men capable of said crime.

We will bring you more on this as the investigations continue…
