An ancient artifact was recovered yesterday following what investigators called “an incredible stroke of luck”.

The millennia old relic, known simply as the A’vini Pot, was heralded as the best preserved example of its kind and was on display in the Expansion Region History Museum in Gane, Corellia. The artifact was stolen from the museum in 210ABY and curators believed the piece to be lost forever.

However, the A’vini Pot was discovered and later purchased by unsuspecting tourists in Birjis End, Sartoy during their vacation. Upon their return to Corellia, the artifact was recognized and seized by officials.

How this priceless piece of history made its way unscathed to the Outer Rim and back again is baffling curators, but the lucky relic will resume its rightful place in the Museum, with additional security.

With the ongoing war ripping apart the galaxy, weapon factories are becoming more and more vital- to both sides.

From standard edition blaster rifles to large scale weapons such as ion cannons, many large corporations have admitted a significant rise in profits. In fact, a recent survey of arms factories across Republic space revealed a staggering 39.78% rise in sales since the start of the war.

Owners of the factories of course attribute this rise to the continuing conflicts across the galaxy, though more specifically the large amount of troops being conscripted on all sides. Some skeptical experts claim that the huge rise in profits is not proportional to the levels of conscription into the Republic military forces, citing foul play.

The survey also uncovered a rising number of civilians preferring to drop their current careers to pursue similar productions, investing in weapons, clothing, unrefined resources and medical supplies.

347.09 // Lorrd: Antaree Magistrate Found Dead

arieldeath

Following the recent attack by the Imperium on the city of Antaree, the remains of Magistrate Ariel Summers and an unknown victim were discovered among the wreckage of her shuttle a few miles beyond the wasteland borders. As of the time of this report, it is unknown what brought down the craft. Investigators speculate a fault in the ships components.

This comes as a heavy blow to the cities morale, having lost so many previously to the war. It is also unknown where the Magistrate may have been headed. According to her secretary, her departure had been unplanned and sudden, leaving many to speculate. Rumors have surfaced that she may have had a hand in organizing the attack of Imperium reinforcements on Antaree and was possibly fleeing after the Republic declared victory over the planet. However, there has been no evidence of this theory as of yet.

A new interim Magistrate is being organized to oversee the relief effort in the region.

347.07 // Imperium Expelled from Lorrd

lorrd

After a two year long campaign against the Imperium on Lorrd, the Republic has finally vanquished them from the planet. By successfully capturing key objectives in the desert province, the Republic recovered ground quickly, expanding their territory swiftly from West to East.

This is welcomed news for the Republic after numerous victories in the region. The continued success in the war has been consistently owed to the involvement of the Jedi Order, who today also hosted a secret meeting at their Ossus temple, of which several prominent Jedi Masters were in attendance.

347.04 // ‘Withheld’ – New Holofim to dramatize lethal plague

dfV193l

It is considered by many that the actions of the Jedi committed a decade ago are still some of the most heinous and unforgivable in the history of the galaxy. Now, the Jedi’s choice to seemingly withhold a cure to the plague, that resulted in the deaths of countless people, is the focal point of director Tospol Picar’s latest holofim.

The celebrated director, known for his unmoderated and sometimes controversial style has come under fire from some critics for focusing on a topic still fresh for so many in the galaxy. However, if history is anything to go by, Picar will push ahead with his project.

The film is still in the scripting phase, but fully expect up-and-coming Togruta superstar Meritut Detta to portray then Jedi Padawan Wrennin Vae, notable for his address to the Senate.

With the Jedi looking to rebuild their strength and credibility within the Galaxy, how will such a film portray them?
