365.01 // Dirt Mite Nest Destroyed!

Last night the Jedi Order and R.S.F launched an attack on the dirt mite nest. For thousands of years the nest proved impossible to locate. While the details of the historic operation are classified, the R.S.F chief told the press that the dirt mite nest and queen have been destroyed. The Jedi Council of Rannon and its Gate Master have yet to comment on their involvement.

Let’s go to the people of Kenzie for comments:

Ru Bah, 79, Human: “*Bah*, I think this is a political stunt. No way they found the nest.”

Alara Yil, 26, Rodian: “I am grateful to the Jedi and R.S.F. With less attacks, it will be easier to farm.”

Tin Qua, 32, Nautolan: “I wish I could’ve seen the Jedi and police put em’ six feet under. Nasty little things!”

Miva Harra, 15, Human: “The Jedi and police had no right killing them. They are animals and acted on instinct. They don’t know any better! Those animals ought to be protected, now that they are likely on the verge of extinction!”

There are no reports of dirt mite sightings. For more news stay tuned…

364.24 // Praxeum Ship Alacrity Goes Missing

According to reports by Jedi Master Quoi Axon, the presiding head Librarian on Ossus, the flagship of the Explor-Corp, the Alacrity, has gone missing on an extended survey mission East of the Hutt territories.

Contact with the Alacrity was apparently lost shortly after it passed Kubindi, travelling South along the local trade lane. Inquiries with local Hutt families have yielded no answers and slaver raids are not known to be a significant threat in the region.

We still do not have any leads to the vessel’s whereabouts at this time. The Jedi Order has dispatched a search team in order to find the missing passengers and crew as soon as possible. More to come.

364.22 // The Return of the Antarian Rangers

Earlier today the Jedi Order held a press conference on the steps of the Ossus Temple. Members of the Council and the Order were in attendance. After the entirety of the Jedi Council assembled, Grand Master Don’roq took to the podium.

“It is with great honour that I am formally announcing the re-founding of an ancient and prestigious institution. An institution that has served alongside the Jedi Knights for a thousand years. Made of dedicated men and women otherwise unable to feel the Force but serve the Jedi Order all the same.

This institution is the Antarian Rangers.

Work has been done to both recruit and train promising new members for the past several years and, while I cannot disclose official numbers, the majority will be stationed at the Ossus Temple, and the rest deployed among the Order’s facilities.

The Jedi Council has appointed Pers Antilles of Corellia to be Ranger General, a former commander in CorSec and veteran of the Imperium War. We believe he is well suited for the position, and has already done tremendous work, playing a huge role in building the Rangers to their current position.

It is the Council’s belief that the Antarian Rangers will make the Order’s job of providing peace, justice easier for many years to come.

Thank you, and may the Force be with you.”

364.22 // Civil War erupts on Shumavar

Outer Rim system Shumavar, which lies on the border of Republic Territory, has engaged in a civil war, claim reports from locals in the region. The Royal Palace at Ansun was the main site of the conflict, with several other skirmishes taking place in surrounding cities.

Tensions have been high on Shumavar since the assassination of beloved King Vyar Erinoss in 363ABY. King Vyar was succeeded by his son, Nivian, whose appointment divided figureheads and public alike. Currently, there is no definitive report on whether King Nivian survived the attack.

The Galactic Republic authorities have advised against unnecessary travel to the system, with many trade routes being occupied by aid and rescue transports.

364.01 // Hunter found dead outside of Kenzie

The mystery surrounding the bizarre disappearance of a local hunter was partially solved when a body had been found on the outskirts of the Kenzie Settlement, identified to be a Gar Izen.

The Rannon Security Forces (RSF) has yet to disclose his cause of death to the public. The 32 years old human went missing after leaving for the jungle three days ago. A desperate rescue expedition was organized by the RSF after another hunter reported about finding some of Izen’s belongings near blood stains on the ground, deep in the jungle. The man was found dead by excessive bleeding only yesterday; it was too late to save him.

His loving wife, Mays Izen, mourned him saying “he died doing what was most passionate to him”.
