Members of the Jedi Order,

The High Council and resedential Councils are pleased to announce the creation of a tournament. A tournament of which every branch of the Jedi Order will partake. Head of Departments from the medical, ace, lightsaber, Force, and diplomacy will submit their best students to represent their Temple, Praxeum, or Enclave. While the nature of a tournament is competitive, it is the High Council’s initiative to establish needed community and communication between the branches of the Jedi Order.

I, Cael Dan’kor, will administer the tournament alongside Jedi, not necessarily Councilors, from far and wide. I will need their help and your eagerness and excitement to make this tournament possible! To begin, Head of Departments from the medical, ace, Force, and diplomacy must submit one champion for their department by 356.25 ABY, while I ask the lightsaber department to submit ‘three’ students. There will be challenges specific and unique for each department, so be sure to pick a student who can represent your Temple well in the particular fields. Points accumulated from each department round will determine which Jedi facility is the victor.

My hope is to get this tournament started by the end of this year or early next year, so let’s get a move on, comrades! There are a lot of planets involved, so we don’t want to push our luck with keeping them waiting.

Information regarding the challenges will be revealed as the dates manifest. The first challenge, I can say, will be for the lightsaber department. Get your students ready, Masters!

This just in, the abandoned Jedi temple on Coruscant has been occupied by the ‘One Sith’! Shortly after the Imperium’s defeat on Bastion a little over a year ago, the Sith separated from the fascist regime, ending their coalition with the Imperium and instead retreating into exile. The Jedi Order, New Empire, and Republic were unsuccessful in locating the Dark Lord of the Sith and his followers, until now.

Forty five minutes ago, Sith acolytes were spotted guarding the Temple’s walls. The Republic mobilized a reasonable number of its forces to surround the former Jedi temple, now Sith stronghold, immediately after reports came in.

The Chief of State has declared a state of emergency. We now cross to our live report for more on the unfolding situation.

“Good evening viewers, I’m Lexa Van-Hookren. As I speak, Republic soldiers are evacuating civilians from sectors near the historic Jedi facility. I now go to Tei Alorrum, who is at the scene. What does it look like, Tei?”

“It’s pretty tense down here, Lexa. It appears the Republic has vehicles of war surrounding the Jedi Temple both in the air and on the ground! They very recently asked the Sith to lay down their arms and surrender, but the Force zealots have yet to comply. A lot of the civilians I’ve seen are in a state of panic. The military has been less than courteous towards people’s feelings.”

“A great chunk of our military is in Imperial space, helping Empress Fel restore order to her territory. Is that noticeable now, Tei?

“I would say so, Lexa. The military is strained on soldiers. Everyone is on edge, and it isn’t a pretty sight. Any assistance from the Jedi?”

“We just got news here at the studio that Jedi who were on Coruscant for business have already proceeded inside, accompanied by a Republic strike team, but none of them have come out yet. The Sith offered no resistance to their entrance. I hope the Jedi can settle this, because their other facilities are rotations away.”

“Well, she should… O-oh my god! OH MY GOD!”

“Tei, what’s happening, Tei?!”

“A-… f-*chh* flash of light came f-from the Temple, and the military forces and area surrounding the Temple evaporated. One of the towers on the temple was completely eradicated, as well!”

“I’m s-sorry? Did you say EVAPORATED?”

“There’s a… d-dark field of… energy, it seems, creeping into the surrounding city… v-very-… very slowly. It’s… d-destroying everything in its path! I-it’s not stopping! There are tremendous sounds of starfighters flying overhead at attack speed, The Republic Navy is approaching t-!… O-oh my god, their ships were destroyed, once they entered the dom-… *Static*.”

“Tei, Tei?! I-..I’m receiving word from our scholarly commentators that the dome could be best d-described as a Dark Side Force nexus of sorts! This is in reference to both contemporary and traditional texts. We cross live to academics from the academy who may know more on this anomaly and how-…*Static*…a-*Static-.. -osing… signal to the networ-..*Static*.”

News just in that a high ranking Lord of the One Sith has been captured and is on route to Coruscant for processing. This is the first we’ve heard of Sith activity since the defeat of the Imperium on Bastion, which resulted in the One Sith’s exile and the end of their coalition with the Imperium.

The Sith has been identified by the Jedi as “The Voice of the Sith”, the last high ranking Sith to survive the war besides the Dark Lord himself, and is already set to face trial with the other captives from the Imperium War currently in Republic detention.

However, these war criminals will not be trialed by the Republic High Court. Instead, a new court has been established co-operatively between the Senate of the Republic and the Galactic Empire’s justice committee. This great sign of solidarity shows great diplomatic progress between the newly established Galactic Empire and the Republic, showing that this war has brought these once rival factions together to see the One Sith and Imperium brought to justice.

After a two year long campaign against the Imperium on Lorrd, the Republic has finally vanquished them from the planet. By successfully capturing key objectives in the desert province, the Republic recovered ground quickly, expanding their territory swiftly from West to East.

This is welcomed news for the Republic after numerous victories in the region. The continued success in the war has been consistently owed to the involvement of the Jedi Order, who today also hosted a secret meeting at their Ossus temple, of which several prominent Jedi Masters were in attendance.

The Jedi Temple on Ossus was assaulted just days ago by Imperium Forces, we do not yet have details, but according to one source the Jedi managed to defeat the assault at their long standing temple of learning located on Ossus. Though the building sustained heavy damage, the Jedi were able to turn the assault aside and the Sith that lead it in large part thanks to two Jedi in particular who at this time remain unnamed. Though they gave their lives to defend their home from these invaders, this does show that the Imperium can be beaten. But the real question is, do they fear the Jedi’s involvement in this war so much that they would risk such an assault?
