461.107 // Crime on the Rise at Outpost Vornis After Shocking Jedi Defeat Recording Surfaces

The usually quiet frontier settlement of Outpost Vornis has seen a sudden surge in criminal activity following the circulation of a holorecording that appears to show a Jedi being bested in combat. The recording, which spread rapidly through networks and backroom cantinas across Duneeden, depicts the robed figure of a Jedi collapsing after a brief skirmish in the outpost, to the thrill of gathered onlookers.

Local authorities report that theft, illegal spice trading, and smuggling operations have nearly doubled in the past two weeks. “When word gets out that a Jedi can fall, even here, criminals start to believe the law can’t protect this outpost,” said Officer Stown, head of Investigation of the Judicial Department of Duneeden.

The recording, though unverified, has emboldened local crime syndicates. Residents that live within the Hydroplanes claim to see more armed thugs patrolling the streets than law officers.

“It’s like the balance of power shifted overnight,” said a resident of Imeara, who requested anonymity out of fear of reprisal. “If a Jedi can’t keep us safe, what chance do we have against gangsters?”

For now, Outpost Vornis teeters on the edge of lawlessness, its citizens caught between fear of organized crime and the fading hope that the Jedi will intervene.

461.106 // Corporate Sector Authority Assents to Annexation: Companies Nationalized by Third Estate

In a major agreement between ExO Jugal Ody and EckCzar Vahn Goreing, the Corporate Sector Authority (CSA) has agreed to integrate itself into the political and economic apparatus of the Third Estate with massive economic gains expected for the corporations represented in the Direx Board. Of the fifty-five members of the Direx Board, forty-eight voted to assent to the final draft of the annexation agreement negotiated between Ody and Goreing. The Direx Board and ExO will all have official stations within the Third Estate government, and their direct control over their industrial zones will be enforced not only by their previous security forces, but also by Third Estate enforcers as well.

A key provision within the annexation agreement is the use of “leased labor” and creation of “labor camps” within CSA space. Through its time in power, the Third Estate has systemically dispossessed its non-human populations of their homes, communities, and political power. These populations, having lived in deplorable conditions in assigned locations determined by Vahn Goreing’s Minister of Domestic Tranquility, will be moved by the state from their locations in the Gordian, Esstran, Sertar, Northern D’Astran, Nembus, Wyl, Aparo, and I Sectors to labor camps across the respective planets of the Direx Board in the Corporate Sector.

Republic Outcry was immediate in the Senate Dome. War Hawk Senator Boonka Illeeb from the Herglic Space sector furiously lost his temper at his podium as he shouted, pointing directly at Chancellor Vekau Khorta,

“This is exactly what I said would happen cycles ago when this body instituted Tariffs after the collapse of D’Astran Legacy Bank! I said then that the CSA would be driven closer to the Third Estate and now here we are! With this new industrial base powered off of slave-labor, every single news story about the atrocities that are committed in the Corporate Sector that reach your ears are your doing by supporting that legislation! Shame on you!

Chancellor Vekau Khorta, who currently has the lowest ever recorded popularity rating in modern history, adjourned the Senate session of the day early and has made no public comment on the matter at this time. Polling across sectors currently represented by the Preservation Society warn that, unless something with Chancellor Khorta’s chancellorship changes soon, the whole party may disintegrate and vanish from the halls of the Senate entirely.

Meanwhile, the annexation of the CSA will over triple the industrial capacity of the Third Estate moving forward. Already CSA stocks have skyrocketed as their facilities and factories are being turned over to contribute to the growing Third Estate’s industrial war machine. This has caused anxiety and panic among nearby sectors such as Chorlian and Bosph who see themselves as the next stepping-stones for the rapidly expanding authoritarian Goreing regime.

461.20 // Jedi Order Announces Expansion of Duneeden Council

Following the turn of the decade, the Duneeden Temple has steadily grown as a center of learning and service to the Jedi Order. As the temple continues to expand, its leadership has now taken steps to ensure stability of day-to-day operations.

Today, High Councilor Amalia Feyn formally announces the establishment of a governing council dedicated to overseeing the temple’s management and direction.

This development underscores the Order’s commitment to balancing tradition with the demands of the present, and to strengthening its duty to the wider galaxy.

461.06 // Irregular Activity in Instrop Sector Concerns Neighboring LSS Authorities

Segment: Outer Rim Commerce & Risk Watch

Anchor Quan Regal (Affilliated Press):

Recent patterns in outer system cargo transit logs have raised concerns among analysts monitoring the frontier zones of the League of Sovereign Systems. While no official statements have been released, several anonymous sources from local port oversight bureaus have reported ‘increased inconsistencies’ in cargo declarations—particularly in lanes near Vlemoth Port and the Five Veils Trade Route.

Officials from the Rannon system have reportedly issued internal advisories after a surge in docking requests from vessels with opaque registry histories. One source cited ‘routing behaviors inconsistent with standard trade practice,’ though declined to elaborate further.

Meanwhile, a handful of leaked manifests from Karazak suggest repeat cargo passes from flagged entities known for past cartel affiliations. While port administrators maintain full operational control, the reappearance of such names has prompted quiet audits within some League enforcement divisions.

Trade Analyst Lerna Palko:

“We’ve seen these kinds of signs before. Stretched oversight, patchy bureaucratic integration — it creates opportunities for older criminal networks to reactivate dormant paths. Nothing definitive yet, but if those lines remain unchecked, you might see the spread of informal economies or worse — coercive arrangements involving vulnerable populations.”

Some have pointed to the political pressure mounting with the Instrop Sector’s potential entry into the League, suggesting that certain groups may be seeking to project influence or provoke instability to shift negotiating leverage. Others whisper of ‘external actors’ aiming to exploit internal divides — particularly as the League continues to distance itself from encroaching ideologies along the Hydian Way.

As of now, League security forces have not responded to inquiries. Analysts expect more concrete developments in the coming cycles.

451.24 // Galactic Senate reconstitutes the Ruusan Reformation Act

In a landmark victory, newly appointed Chancellor Vekau Khorta takes to the Senate Floor for his first time in the position. Rallying together the majority of delegates to one cause; the prosperity and economic wellfare of the Republic and all its inhabitant systems. He had this to say:

Peace. A foreign construct, one that has not graced this Republic in many cycles. Even when war does not cross the borders of our space, we seek it out. To what end I ask this Senate. We have strived to protect and insert ourselves into conflicts outside of our borders, to help those who’s elected officials choose not to stand with us. While our own denizens struggle to put food on the table and find steady income.

The economic stability and wellfare of this Republic should be a matter close to all of us. Going forward, the perogative of this Senate will be to focus inward, protecting our borders, revitalising our trade routes and bringing a wealth back to the Republic that hasn’t been seen in millenia.

In recent talks with Grandmaster Audax of the Jedi Order, he has agreed to stand their Jedi down in acts of war and resume their role as Galactic Peacekeepers within the Republic, providing a supportive role as would befit their wisdom.

I move the Senate to vote on reconstituting the Ruusan Reformation Act.

Marren, It was clear to me that the majority of the Senate seemed onboard with the newly appointed Chancellors agenda, though naturally some delegations were quieter than most. The demilitarisation of the Jedi will play a very significant change in how the Republic operates in the Galactic arena. Does it mean that the Jedi will pull their ranks back from the Thanium Sector? How this will unfold with the troubles on the borders of Republic Space is yet to be determined.

Back to you in the studio.

Thank you Hasla!
