395.10 // Cantonica Takes A Gamble

It has been five years since Cantonica was shaken to its very core by the actions of the ‘branded’ terrorist and traitor Samson Fitzgerald. The man previously most known for his prominent business establishment, the Cantonica Casino, was uncovered to have had schemes and plots in the works to release despair and destruction upon the planet’s surface, just as a means of appearing in the ‘opportune’ moment to save the figurative day. While the news didn’t travel as fast as they should off-world, due to the matter initially requiring careful treatment from Cantonica’s government itself, finally after all this time, the records of the trials, the proceedings are known to the public.

Especially now with the Corporate State making yet another move towards buying out more than just a few lots, industries and real estates alike; the people cannot help but wonder when their expansion actually ends, nor realize where it really begins. Another rising mystery on the corporate field!

As far as the people are concerned, the matter has been taken care of. Many protesters wanted to see Mr. Fitzgerald pay for his crimes with his own life, substituting for the lives lost due to his actions within the Cantonica Casino. Especially the dearly departed Garnica Jevealis, opera singer extraordinaire taken from our world too young and too soon.

In honor of Jevealis’ memory, HoloAudio Records are releasing an unabridged, even if not entirely finished, version of the Album the young singer would have published if not for the events of Cantonica. The Album’s name, originally ‘A Bright Life’, has been renamed to ‘In Memoriam’. Also, for the elective fan, the Album contains backstage clips of pre-production. Viewers, as well as listeners, of the Album, state that this paints a whole new visage for the artist herself.

A must have, for any collector!

395.07 // The Skies Open!

On 395.07 ABY, the skies were split open, the ground quaking as the Praxeum on the mountainside bathed the valley below in a wondrous orange light.

While there hasn’t been any news as to the reason behind the extraordinary display offered to the settlement, many support the beliefs of a divination ritual or the figurative ‘ascension’ of one within the ranks of the Order in attempts to stop the void outbreak. Of course, everything thus far is postulation and hypothesis.

Will we ever find out what happened on the mountain? Will we ever know what started the void outbreak? Doubtful, but such is the way of the Jedi; has been since time immemorial. Mystery is a part of the people that reside over us, watching us.

It’s Olivei Vrugark with Galaxy news.

394.24 // The Archology On Manaan

A brand-new research facility for the purposes of study and advancement of new biotechnology and medicinal treatments; “The Arcology”, has been recently unveiled on Manaan, built by a combined effort of both the Jedi Order, the Order of Shasa and the Republic Alliance with a consistent funding from many Medical Corporations and charitable organizations.
We had our own reporters on standby for the event along with a recorded speech translated into galactic basic from the newly-appointed head rector of The Arcology; Volko.

“Today marks a new beginning in medical research, we venture into the unknown and brave the new frontier of science and technology. Together, with the united power of our will, intelligence and focus, we can surpass the expectations and understandings of our predecessors and go beyond the limits of the stars.”

The Arcology is reported to be built over the site of Hrakert Station; An old Republic installation for mining Kolto under the Hrakert Rift in Manaan’s deep waters… The installations history is somewhat distorted over the centuries but some information remains in that it has been the headquarters of the Order of Shasa for a millennium.

The features of The Arcology also are reminiscent from what we were permitted to see, the large historical Academy of the Jedi on Dac. The Order of Shasa, the current owners of Hrakert Station will preside control over The Arcology with open invites to those of the Jedi as well as advanced medical students willing to volunteer their aid to the research.

394.23 // Missing Girl Found Dead

It was just a day ago, in the peaceful City of Loss Nelagg, here on Alzoc III when a young girl went missing. The authorities initially unable to make sense of her disappearance, having scoured the nearby area, eventually found the missing girl within the tunnels of the Old City of Loss Nelagg. The case, while starting off as a missing persons one, has evolved into an investigation of murder as the girl was found in a horrific state. The officers at the scene describe this case as premeditated murder although we do not have any more news since they refused to disclose any further information.

We will update you, should anything further surface, in the case of Estelwen Rha.

394.06 // 26 Jedi dead, Failed Attack on the Temple of Ossus

In the early hours of 395.06, a rupturing explosion was heard booming through the sacred halls of the Ossus Jedi Temple. Little is known about the attack, but on-site reporters are claiming that the corpses of ‘shadowy figures’ are littered in the dozens as have over 20 confirmed Jedi deaths. Despite the horrific violence, the temple bravely stands.

However, a shocking revelation has been uncovered. An injured, misspoken student told our Holonews reporters that, “This isn’t the first of its kind. Rannon has already fallen.” Unknown to the galaxy, the Rannon Praxeum has been targeted by a similar attack over a year ago – which aerial footage has now confirmed. It has been said that upon receiving the news, Republic specialists were outraged at the lack of transparency the Jedi Order has offered their intelligence services in regards to such a dangerous threat. The Grandmaster of the Order, Don’roq, has refused to comment under the guise of this being a “matter of spiritual warfare”, not concerning the wider Galaxy; but this statement has understandably caused considerable criticism for the Order as a whole.

For many, this was a chilling reminder of the atrocities that befell the temple only half a century earlier during the Imperium Wars. It is being theorized by several correspondents that these series of attacks are directly linked to the earlier kidnapping of children and devastation of the Order’s reputation. Nevertheless, tensions undoubtedly grow within the Order as not only one of the most prestigious Praxeums of the Order has already fallen, but one has barely clung onto life from a threat that the Galaxy will not be told exists.
