347.07 // Imperium Expelled from Lorrd

lorrd

After a two year long campaign against the Imperium on Lorrd, the Republic has finally vanquished them from the planet. By successfully capturing key objectives in the desert province, the Republic recovered ground quickly, expanding their territory swiftly from West to East.

This is welcomed news for the Republic after numerous victories in the region. The continued success in the war has been consistently owed to the involvement of the Jedi Order, who today also hosted a secret meeting at their Ossus temple, of which several prominent Jedi Masters were in attendance.

347.04 // The Telosian Council’s Defence Against the Imperium

telos

Today the Telosian military fended off a third invasion attempt by the Imperium. Commentators have described this to be a direct response to the recent announcement of the Telosian Council, the primary governing body of Telos IV, that has vowed to launch a ‘forward defense’ against the advances of the Imperium, committing to liberate neighboring and regional planets of the One Sith’s rule.

The new policy initiative released along with the announcement included plans to support rebellions fighting against the Imperium, with ‘relief’ packages designed to arm rebel groups and the deployment of Telosian land troops to key regions.

As Telos IV is not a part of the Republic, there has been no official request by the Telosian Council for Republic assistance. However, Republic officials today have hinted at plans to lend some form of assistance for Telos’ efforts against their common enemy.

346.29 // Imperium on Jondora

Ripples have been felt across the Greater Plooriod System in recent days following the revelation of Imperium support and endorsement on Jondora.

At the beginning of the cycle, the Jondoran planetary council voted on the course of action for the planet, settling on remaining within the Republic in a 55-45 split. Local reports indicate raucous outrage from several City Councillors and a few isolated incidents of rioting in the cities of Klio, Ivorin and Doorne following the decision.

Following a standard diplomatic encounter earlier this cycle, the involvement with the Imperium came to light, with evidence of branded supplies and troops in several regions across the planet. Many of the accused Councillors involved immediately stepped down and their positions remain empty.

In a statement today, the Jondoran Council announced that it will decide the matter internally and asks the Republic Senate to not escalate the situation into starting a direct conflict in their territory.

346.25 // Imperium Retreat From Moltok

moltok

The Republic has officially declared the Imperium forces on Moltok defeated after the destruction of one of the Sith’s key military strongholds. While Imperium ships were detected fleeing the system, officials are still counting this as a major blow to the enemy.

The Republic has confirmed all prisoners in the stronghold were evacuated before it was destroyed, revealing that the Imperium base on the planet also acted as a prisoner of war camp. The Republic is currently amid processing all those rescued and returning them to their loved ones or home worlds.

Republic officials have thanked intelligence provided by the Jedi Order for the success of the operation. The intelligence was said to include a full and comprehensive read-out of the stronghold, which proved essential.

The news of this defeat on Moltok comes after a series of retreats made by the Imperium in the Kwymar sector. This shows that the Republic is slowly regaining territory.

346.17 // Vigilante Justice?

A surprising story from Corellia, where rumor has it that vigilante justice has been handed out over the past few cycles. The newest report dates from 344.14 ABY at approximately 0400 GST in the morning. An officer with CorSec was first responder to a scene that was later described as ‘grizzly at best.’ Witnesses initially alerted security when a firefight broke out between local gang members. While forces were scrambled to contain the violent outbreak a new report came in of a masked individual entering the premises of the facility, and leaving soon after it had become quiet.

Sources within CorSec have rumored that the cause of death of a number criminals was attributed to plasma burns not conforming to standard blaster technology. One mentioned the possibility of Jedi involvement. No statement has been made about the names of the deceased, but there are reports that almost all casualties were members of the Meatlump or Ragtag gangs. A Captain Obtario, a twenty year serviceman to CorSec commented:

“I’m a huge fan of the Jedi. They’ve often been a boon to the security of our planet over the centuries, and I look forward to working with more of them. Yet we cannot overlook the possibility of unsanctioned involvement. While do not condone actions these criminals have committed in the past, our justice system allows them all fair trial. The culprit will be found, and brought into custody as soon as possible.”
