The news has been delayed and all stations within Orinda territory have been told to keep silence until a suitable time that the monarchy has decided to announce the atrocity that has been committed in the past cycle. Captain Gunzelii of the Orinda royal guard, nephew to the reigning Queen of Orinda, Queen Morin, has been arrested and extradited to an alien court outside of Orinda, which has already caused some controversy.

The catalyst for this event to transpire is what many people are already labeling the ‘Orinda Massacre’. During recent protests to a new reform that Queen Morin has made into law (Orinda is an absolutist monarchy within Republic Space), protesters assembled outside of the royal palace, where Captain Gunzelii and his guard were waiting as they had, quote “been expecting resistance”. It is here, outside the royal palace, that the protesters were getting supposedly rowdy, based on numerous witness reports. At this point, one of the royal guard had been knocked down and the word ‘fire!’ had been heard – this is the point that the royal guard began to shoot the protesters.

Eleven dead and twenty-three citizens wounded on Orinda; the planet is in a current chaotic mess, the queen has refused to comment on the events that have transpired beyond, quote “Justice will be served”. She appears to have taken a strong stance against the Republic extradition of Captain Gunzelii, though the Republic claims that it is because of this being a federal crime that they have extradited Captain Gunzelii. Though this essentially breaches current Republic law, it is presumed that it is because of Captain Gunzelii’s close ties to Queen Morin that he has been extradited, otherwise there would not be a fair and just trial.

Queen Morin has recently made a statement that there is to be a banquet feast soon on Orinda for this exact cause. Merriment and filling your stomachs with food, for those that don’t want to discuss the political hot-topic issue. It is said that a number of guests from outside immediate surrounding territory will be in attendance, as well as officials from GRID. Rumor has it that perhaps even a Jedi will be in attendance as a mediator. The feast is set to take place within the next several cycles after all preparations have been met.

Following a mysterious disappearance, missing Ishi Tib ambassador Gram Keew returned to Tibrin earlier today. Local reports indicated that the ambassador’s transport crashlanded en route to a diplomatic intervention. Ambassador Keew was missing for a total of 11 days and earlier his spokesperson released a statement about his experiences:

“Despite the numerous dangers and perils I faced during this experience, I intend to continue serving the Ishi Tib people. There is no hazard that we cannot overcome and in the end I believe that these conflicts we face can be resolved peaceably, even the unexpected ones.

“However, I would like to take this moment to extend my gratitude to the various Republic and Republic-affiliated forces who ensured my recovery and safe return to Tibrin.”

The remainder of the statement emphasized the need for togetherness in trying times and a promise by Ambassador Keew to return to his work after a brief respite.

A huge explosion has occurred on the Kay-Tap Square on Rodia which took 23 lives and left 11 injured. The local police department is now searching for clues and counts on support from local citizens or anyone who might be involved with this action.

“I saw the explosion! A very big one indeed and all the people standing there suddenly vanished like they have been swallowed from the ground! I don’t know what to say … i-it’s really terrifying that something like this happens right before your eyes. From now on I will lock my door forever when I stay at home.”

People have reported also that there were several hooded men who were wandering around the market with cloaks. Many theories are being suggested for why this has happened.

Only three years after the Imperium War comes to a close, details have emerged that former agents of the Imperium are believed to be working for the Republic.

According to several declassified reports received from GRID, the Republic’s intelligence division has recruited several officers and scientists into their division. According to the reports, this recruitment started shortly after the fall of the Sith on Coruscant.

A spokesperson for GRID made the following statement to the GHN surrounding the matter:

Reports that there are members of the former Imperium working for the Republic are correct. We invited several scientists and officers to GRID Republic, in order to develop new defences in case of another Sith incursion, including the plague.

While we were enemies a short time ago, their disassociation from the Sith gave us the opportunity to let them prove their worth to the Galaxy at large, by aiding the Republic and her allies.

The start of this relationship signifies the end of official hostilities between the Imperium Loyalists and the Republic.

In a rather heated battle, Asdral Gev has been chosen as Mandalore, defeating the previous, Zarus Jendri, in one on one combat.

In a summit on the capital city of Sundari, Mandalore, Asdral Gev had challenged Zarus Jendri’s leadership, stating that Jendri has ineptly lead the Mandalorians since the end of their involvement in the Attrition Wars. The challenge, one deeply rooted in Mandalorian culture, ended with Jendri’s defeat in armed combat and Gev being established as the new Mandalore.

Jendri’s policy of isolationism is thought to have been the main reason for Gev’s challenge, the Mandalorians staying relatively within their own territory since the end of the Attrition Wars. Contacts on the planet believe that Asdral Gev wishes to expand the Mandalorians status within the Galaxy, creating stronger ties with the other galactic governments.

New Republic representatives have released statements that ambassadors from Mandalore are expected to arrive on Coruscant soon, with expectations that the Mandalorians wish to expand trade routes through their systems, to help ease off the issue of poverty that has plagued Mandalorian space since the end of the war.

Asdral, former chieftain of the Fett clan, has been dubbed Mandalore the Rebuilder by the other clan chieftains.
