The official Chief of State Shuttle "Galactic Fleet One" hours before the crash early this morning.
The family of Chief of State Benjamin Dama have perished in a fatal shuttle collision that nearly claimed Dama’s life in the early hours of this morning. The Official Chief of State Shuttle “Galactic Fleet One” collided with a Bothan transport freighter en route to the illustrious Hillvale hotel on the east side of sector seven, crippling both vessels where they crashed onto a landing platform seventy meters below.
Cheif of State Dama remains in intensive care while his wife, Cody Dama and their three daughters Sarai, Dali and Rei were pronounced dead on arrival. Dama’s personal aide, Mr Garhath Chalmes, who was waiting for the Chief of State in his private residence has issued the following statement;
This is a profound tragedy. I’m really not sure what else I can say other than everything that can be done is being done to get to the bottom of this accident.
When asked if any foul play was suspected in the incident Mr Chalmes stated that it was too soon to tell. The Chief of State was expected to announce a series of joint initiatives with the Peoples Commonwealth. It is unclear if these will be made public in the next few days on his behalf.
It is widely believed that Dama’s Secretary of State Tania Felthark will be anounced as acting Chief of State if Dama’s condition worsens.
