A fleet of unidentified warships has carried out a brutal attack on the people of Rannon. It is reported that the warships belong to the same fleet that struck Nouane earlier this cycle.

The warships deployed swarms of droids to the surface, while a blockade formed above the planet. The droids swept through settlements and civilian centres, leaving widespread destruction in their wake before converging on the Jedi Order’s Rannon Praxeum. Eventually, the Jedi defenders repelled the assault, annihilating the droid forces in a decisive counterattack.

While chaos ensued on the surface, the Republic’s 7th Fleet engaged the invaders in a fierce battle above the planet. Within hours, the warships withdrew from orbit, retreating into hyperspace with the 7th Fleet choosing not to pursue, instead securing a defensive formation above Rannon.

Republic officials have yet to release casualty figures, but early reports indicate significant damage across Rannon’s surface–with wildfires devastating much of the jungleland. The attackers remain untraceable.

With two worlds now scarred by these mystery invaders, pressure mounts on the Senate and Chancellor Ryn Malvero to adopt a more pro-active response.
