468.27 // SKY TRAIN EXPLODES OVER CORUSCANT
Security footage captures the moment a Sky Train explodes over the Uscru District on Coruscant.
CorSec continues to investigate the hijacking and subsequent destruction of a Sky Train in the Uscru District that occurred on 468.26.
Miraculously, officials have not reported any fatalities from the incident. The Sky Train has been identified as one hijacked four cycles ago. A mysterious organization known as “The Krait Syndicate” who are led by an unknown criminal who only goes by the name “Mr. Krait” was suspected of being behind the hijacking.
Little is known about the organization at this time except for their alleged participation of both illegal and legal swoop races. The organization is also suspected of crimes such as extortion, robbery, smuggling, and murder.
Reports of their alleged criminal activity began to surface decades ago on Nar Shaddaa, but rumors of their influence expanding to other parts of the galaxy began just as recently as 466 ABY after a crime surge took place on parts of Tatooine.
Coruscant Police Chief Galan Munzai issued a statement:
“There is no evidence at this time to suggest that this was a targeted and deliberate attack on the people of Coruscant by this “Krait Syndicate” or any other criminal organization. As such, we will not comment any further on potential suspects until we’ve completed our investigation.”
While there have been no reports of fatalities, witnesses claim they saw what appeared to be two bodies fall from the exploding Sky Train. Security footage was unable to support the claims, however an unidentified vessel was captured swooping down just underneath the explosion before it disappeared into the clouds.
