RO’DYN, DUNEEDEN — Thousands of citizens flooded the streets of Ro’dyn today as protests erupted across the planetary capital in response to the presence of three massive obsidian starcruisers a cycle ago. Demonstrators voiced growing frustration over widespread power outages, failing communications, and mounting shortages, while expressing fears that Duneeden’s planetary defense forces may be unable to withstand an invasion without military assistance from the Galactic Republic. Although government officials continue to assure the public that defensive preparations are underway, confidence among many citizens has begun to wane.
The demonstrations have also given rise to increasing anti-Jedi sentiment, with many protesters blaming the Jedi Order for drawing the mysterious hostile force to Duneeden. Crowds carrying signs reading “Take Your War Elsewhere” and “Duneeden Deserves Peace” gathered outside government buildings, accusing the Jedi of turning their world into the center of a conflict they neither invited nor understand.
The wardens collectively known as The Assembly of Duneeden convened in an emergency session within the Assembly Hall in the St. Antonalia district of Ro’dyn to determine the planet’s response to the growing crisis. Discussions centered on restoring essential services, strengthening planetary defenses, calming civil unrest, and whether to seek military aid from the Galactic Republic. While opinions differed, the Assembly concluded with a unified pledge to defend Duneeden and a demand for answers from the Jedi Order.
