469.20 // SPECIAL REPORT: The Race for Chancellor Begins
Chancellor Kalik Carr (left) & United Republic Party Leader Ryn Malvero (right)
Galactic Core, reporting from Coruscant …
With the election fast approaching, the Chancellor’s race has tightened into a clean two way fight, with Kalik Carr and Ryn Malvero now confirmed as the dominant contenders. What was once a crowded field has narrowed fast, leaving the Republic staring at two starkly different visions for its future.
Carr continues to anchor her campaign on decentralising power away from the Core Worlds, arguing that the Republic can only thrive if authority is shared more evenly with Mid Rim and Outer Rim systems. Her team says the momentum behind regional autonomy is growing, and that Malvero’s platform is little more than “promising the galaxy without offering the details to back it up.”
Malvero, meanwhile, is riding a fresh wave of popularity as the URP’s coalition expands. His message is simple and loud: a stronger military, a safer Republic, and a dominant presence in the galaxy. Supporters say his vision of an “unstoppable, United Republic” is exactly what the moment demands, especially as border systems push for greater security and stability. With both campaigns sharpening their attacks and the Warhawks fading from relevance, the Republic is bracing for a showdown between Carr’s structural reform and Malvero’s promise of power and prosperity.
More shifts are expected as the next Senate session approaches, and the galaxy is watching closely.
