469.05 // LATEST POLLING: United Republic Party Surges Ahead; Warhawks Lose Grip on Voters

Galactic Core, reporting from Coruscant …

The political ground beneath the Galactic Senate is shaking, and the tremors are hitting the Warhawks hardest. Fresh polling across the Core, Mid‑Rim, and even Outer Rim worlds show a stunning collapse in Warhawk support, matched by a surging wave of momentum for the United Republic Party (URP) and its revitalised alliance of minor parties.

As Chancellor Kalik Carr’s Free Soiler government pushes ahead with their Military Decentralisation Act, many among the Warhawk’s constituency expected their representatives to lead the opposition. However, voters have been surprised to see the Warhawk’s leadership offering meek rebuttals during senate sessions, which the URP has capitalised on.

“The Warhawks had every chance to stand firm against Chancellor Carr’s decentralisation agenda, and instead they offered little more than polite objections,” said Senator Ryn Malvero, leader of the URP, who managed to form partnerships with various minor partners, officially re‑assembling the United Republic Coalition.

Things only seem to be getting worse for the Warhawks, with URP Leader Malvero confirming that active discussions with Warhawk senators about defections were underway. Close allies of the Warhawk’s leader, Seema Kaur, have denied any rumours of defections, and have re-affirmed the party is united behind her.

However, political observers have all noted the trend: the United Republic Coalition is rising, and the Warhawks are scrambling to stop the bleeding.

With the next Senate session looming, all eyes are on who jumps ship next—and how far this realignment will go.
