Tatooine officials are reporting a sharp rise in criminal activity this cycle, with incidents ranging from small-scale raids on local settlements to highly co-ordinated heists.

The Tatooine Security Bureau published their updated crime rates this morning, which analysts branded “unprecedented, even by Outer Rim standards.”

Captain Ralven Doss, speaking at a brief press gathering, acknowledged the seriousness of the situation:

“The difficulty we face is that these thugs aren’t gunning for each other anymore. They have instead fully turned their attention to law-abiding citizens and businesses.”

The sudden escalation has been tied to the recent deaths of several high‑ranking syndicate figures, which left multiple criminal factions leaderless. But some analysts were quick to point out that the surge in crime was not reflective of an underworld power struggle.

“The string of violence doesn’t suggest a criminal landscape in chaos,” said Naleen Rudese, an academic from the University of Calamaris Reach. “But rather, a well-oiled criminal enterprise.”

Despite the growing unease, officials insist they are working to restore order. Citizens are being urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity, though many across the desert world worry that the worst is yet to come.
