Biography
Born in the city Kolene on the planet Corellia, Visarion spent his early years often trailing his father, who worked in the construction of the planet’s renowned reliable ships in the capital Coronet City. Curious by nature, he began learning the basics of his father’s work once he was old enough to ask questions. Though some things explained to him he couldn’t fully understand until he aged more, he continued to prod his father for his knowledge in the pursuit of understanding.
When not watching his father work, and asking endless questions, Visarion adventured through Coronet City with the other children. Between skyscrapers and the subways – often riding through them to the various stations around the city. Though they all adventured, they knew to stay away from certain areas, certain people. Bounty hunters sold their services, though Visarion and the other children didn’t know of the details of their work – they’d been told to stay away. Most of them listened; including Visarion. Despite his natural curiosity – a feeling kept him from wandering too close, from asking them questions.
It was returning from one of the days spent wandering through the city with his peers that he found only his mother at home. Long past the time his father would have left the assembly plant he worked in. She told him an accident had happened at his father’s work and he wouldn’t be coming home. It was just the two of them now. Visarion, not fully understanding the circumstances, struggled accepting his father wasn’t merely at the assembly plant, working away on the ships he had taught him about. It was this block in his mind from grief and lack of experience from his age, that kept him wandering back to the assembly plant from time to time. Just to check if he might find his father there this time.
Though he had seen Jedi before within Coronet City in the years he followed his father, he never spoke to any. Visarion often felt their quiet authority as a wall to avoid until he grew older. Without his father to channel his questions to he fear of speaking to someone so important lessened, Visarion turned the questions he usually put forth to his father to one of the city’s Knights. His curiosity not limited to engineering and ships, he continued conversations with the Watchman, questioning about everything from the Order entirely down to its specifics.
Though the Knight answered what he could, it was clear they couldn’t satisfy Visarion’s curiosity completely which led to Visarion being recommended to the Acquisition Department and ultimately being tested for force-sensitivity. When told of this, and the opportunity to join the Order; Visarion’s mother encouraged him to go – believing the Jedi could provide him a better life than she could on her own.
