Kam was born in the city of Lorenna on Ossus. Her Force Sensitivity was almost immediately confirmed, as expected for Ysanna, and her parents had already resolved to turn her to the care of the Jedi when she was the proper age.

Until then, she had a typical childhood. She took an interest in writing and journalling as early as she could understand those strange symbols everybody used, and this ended up helping when she turned five and started her tutelage in the Jedi Praxeum on Ossus, leading to her being quite studious.

Eventually Kam’s journaling would end up expanding to specifically journaling about different topics rather than just her day-to-day. Class topics, the uses of different plants, the basic intricacies of terminals, anything that happened to catch her interest. This would, of course, be an issue when her interest didn’t come to the subject of a class.

Kam stayed a hopeful in the Praxeum for three years when she was told she would be moving to a different Praxeum, for reasons not told to her just yet. She did not complain about the assignment however, she was getting to see a whole different planet and temple. As she was preparing for her leave, her parents had visited once more to see Kam off. With them they brought an Ysannan mask, for her to have a reminder of her homeworld and wear once she can do so without it slipping off.

Excited with new prospects ahead, she waved to her parents and friends as the shuttle doors closed, and looked forward to what the future has in store.
