To the surprise of noone, Akira’ story is not that large. After all, she is only a 10 year old at this point: more self aware then that of the youngest of the hopefuls but still a kid to everybody else. She at least has some semblance of what’s going on around her and her own nature at this point.

To start things off, Akira was born to a family of shipwrights on Corellia. Named after one of the more famous members of her family tree, she was one of the many members of the family that were force sensitive. Though, oddly enough, it does always seem to happen to those in the family with albinism. Boy or girl, those that were force sensitive always seemed to have this extraordinarily rare mutation. Though Akira herself has a fairly minor form of Albinism where it seems to only affect her hair color and eye color, her hair a silverish white and her eyes a flat dull gray.

As a kid growing up in the Corellian shipyards, she had been around quite a lot of engineers, friends of her father and mother who came over to their house to talk about the ships being built to future designs. As they have had this shipyard for generations, they were called upon quite often for the sake of design changes or references. Her family only owned this one particular shipyard under the entire umbrella of the Corellian Engineering Corps so they still had to follow the orders and commands of those in the actual higher up positions in the corporation. Because of this, Akira from her young age has a lot more engineering knowledge then most kids do her age. While that doesn’t mean she knows the technical terminology and actual processes for building a ship, something she would have learned much later, she is still capable of understanding basic, for adults, engineering terms and starship mechanisms. However, she would not be able to really learn this more advanced information from her family as the Jedi Order, having picked up on her force sensitivity due to Corellia’s trade hub nature from passing Jedi, came to collect her. As a form of farewell gift, her family gave her a black hairband which she very rarely wishes to separate from.

With her being picked up by the Jedi Order, her future is vastly different then what she originally intended. With people around her she is not used to, she tends to be a bit reserved in her nature, doing her best not to get herself in trouble. Though it is possible for her to open up, it is not something that will happen quickly….
