Mikkia
*****************************************************************************************************
The Planet Mikkia is an expansion region world that is inhabited primarily by its native species; the Mikkians. Mikkia is, for the most part, an untouched world unlike most expansion region planets with the Mikkian people having kept their world from the hands of industrial giants and galactic conglomerates. With its untapped resources comes its natural beauty. Mikkia does not have a large presence of immigrated species due to the nature of the Mikkian people.
Mikkia itself is relatively unexplored by outsiders and much of it is unknown to outsiders due to the secretive nature of the Mikkians as a whole. When visiting, one can expect to see many vistas and a great many Temples established for the worship of the Force, mostly in regards to Ashla. The people of Mikkia are incredibly spiritual.
Despite the secretive nature of the Mikkians, Mikkia was a member of the Galactic Republic for many thousands of years before the transition into the Galactic Empire. Mikkia would later join the fledgling Rebel Alliance towards the Battle of Endor and ultimately became a member of the New Republic. In the present day, Mikkia remains a member of the Galactic Republic and holds a seat in its senate.
