A child was born to a family of modest means in the quieter area of Ord Mantell City. The parents, who were artisans of humble origins, named their baby Zipporah, as they felt it’d be a suiting name for the kid.

During her first years she wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, with the exception of her beautiful emerald colored eye, which although not unique is not very common among her people.

However, this would change soon enough as strange things would happen around the baby. At first the parents thought it was strange how sweets would appear so close to the kid even though they’d make sure to keep them far from her grasp. Then, stranger things would occur as the kid would inexplicably avoid having accidents that would be normal to most babies, like being hit by toy balls or crashing with the table legs.

Those events would be felt like nothing more than just curious anecdotes, that is, until Zipporah’s fifth birthday, when they saw her extend her arm towards a toy in the marketplace and could observe the object move to the direction of their kid.

What the parents didn’t notice was that there were others that witnessed the same event, including a desperate man who saw a chance to profit from the magical child, as he took advantage when the parents were distracted and abducted the toddler, hoping that he could sell her to a circus act that would surely make use of a kid that has telekinesis.
