Fenriel was born from a pair of traveling historians. His parents had been exploring the galaxy, visiting distant worlds through merchant vessels and luxury liners as scholars and collectors. Unlike all else in their well-kept lives, Fenriel was not planned. This surprise did not come unwelcome, though the timing of it could not be less ideal. Through disbelief, misstep or distraction, Fenriel’s mother had not made plans for pregnancy while so far away for the space of The Six Sisters. While traveling to return home, the Lady Kinsi had time to concern for the future of her child, concerned for their role in life… She prayed for a daughter, her husband shared this prayer as they returned to Begali. When the day came of their child’s birth he was given a name befitting their prayers and his likeness to his mother.

Early childhood: Fenriel’s upbringing was not cruel, nor by the standards of his community was it harsh. Fenriel lived in relative luxury thanks to the fortune of his parent’s work as historians and scholars. When at the age of eight he had been enrolled in a multitude of academic lectures, classes, and studies that outpaced others of his age. Through desperation, high expectation, or simply over-compensation, Fenriel’s parents sought to hone their offspring into the perfect example of their family legacy. Had it not been for the yet unknown force affinity he held, these efforts would have been lost on him. Through miracle and cosmic fortune Fenriel succeeded and found a love for knowledge, understanding, culture and arts.

Discovery: The years continued as the growing force sensitive remained in relative isolation through the constant tasks given by his parents and the nature of the isolated planets of the Echani. Fenriel, as all do, underwent changes reflecting both their own reactions to the world around them and the influence of those guiding their growth. Fenriel was faced with new feelings about how they viewed themselves, others, and ultimately found their emotions in flux resulting in moments of outbursts, accidental movements in the force that pushed ripples in every direction. Witnesses became rumor, rumor became story, story spreads from mouth to mouth until ultimately the day came where the Kinsi estate was approached by a Watchman who sought to bring the young hopeful into the order. The Kinsi family however was not receptive to the concept of losing their offspring, less so their only prodigy. Again and again the parents refused, urging the recruiters or Watchmen away as the child’s frustrations mounted and incidents repeated. Ultimately, there was no book nor knowledge that could prepare them for what might happen, nor for the potential legal ramifications of an untrained force sensitive. Despite heartbreak and reluctance, the Kinsi family invited the Jedi Recruiters to their home to invite their child to a new chapter in their life…
