Born and raised on Atrisia to Akari Kogane and her husband, Seijuro Mishima, Dosuki Mishima was raised on stories her uncle would tell her of the Jedi. The stories he would spin of an Echani and a Chiss facing down Dark Warriors, stories of an armless Dathomiri Witch who read the Fates through her deck of cards, and the many mentors who guided him on The Path. These stories captivated the young girl, inspiring the hope that she, too, would become a Jedi one day, as her uncle.

At the age of 12, her Force sensitivity began to show itself. Her uncle urged his sister that Dosuki should be taken to the Jedi Order, as he had been decades ago, to be trained to harness these abilities, having seen the consequences of what the lack of honing could to an individual. Dosuki’s parents, relented and allowed her uncle, Jedi Knight Mako Kogane, to bring her to the Jedi to begin her training. However with his duties on Duneeden demanding his focus, Mako instead entrusted Dosuki, not to Duneeden, but to his secondary home within the Order: The Praxeum of Dantooine. It was here, Dosuki was initiated and for the next decade would walk The Path of the Jedi studying to be a Jedi Guardian. She was taken on as a Padawan by a Corellian Jedi Knight by the name of Damon Colros, an old friend of her uncle’s, who like her uncle had a particular passion for the Lightsaber Arts. Demanding she obtain proficiency in Form I through III, just as her uncle and he had planned to take to the greater Order. But while she was apprenticed to Damon Colros, it naturally took a village. Under Master Colros, she would partake in the duties of a Jedi Padawan from learning the philosophy of the Jedi, drilling in the Lightsaber Arts, harnessing the power of the Force, building a Lightsaber of her own, to providing aid and protection to the citizens of the Galaxy, both from a diplomatic and a martial standpoint. From him, Dosuki learned how to be a Jedi. Under her Master’s wife, Layna Colros, Dosuki learned of weapons beyond the Lightsaber both ranged and martial, along with the seeds being planted of the exotic style of the Lightsaber Pike. And when her uncle would visit, he too, would drill her in the Lightsaber Arts as a Battlemaster would.

The years would pass and upon completing her Trials, Dosuki was found ready by the Council of Dantooine to rise to Knighthood. She stayed with Dantooine for a cycle, overlapping her time with the return of her uncle who had been transferred to meet Dantooine’s demand of a Battlemaster. After some time for rest and reflection upon her Knighting, Dosuki decided that Dantooine had been good to her all these years, and it was time to see the rest of the Order. Opting for a transfer to Mako’s old posting of the Duneeden Praxeum to meet the Jedi she was told so much about growing up.
