Born among the clans of Kiffu, Kotxil Natahl was never meant to be a stranger to his people. From a young age, his force-sensitivity was recognized by both his kin and visiting Jedi. Rather than being sent directly to a praxeum or temple, he underwent his early training on his homeworld, nurtured by the hope that he might one day serve as a Guardian of Kiffu. This upbringing grounded him deeply in the values of his people, instilling a sense of loyalty and responsibility that would define his path.

His formal apprenticeship came under the guidance of Mirkal, a nomadic, transient Chistori Jedi Knight known for his involvement with the Matukai. From Mirkal he inherited a unique blend of teachings, learning to unify body and spirit, to shape his strength through discipline, and to heal through the living Force. His mentor would often travel to and from Kiffu, in order to train his apprentice and in turn he never lost the grounding of his Kiffar heritage, nor the unorthodox approach of his mentor. Foremost a healer, Kotxil believes the Force is at its truest when it restores rather than destroys. Yet his training in augmentation and martial arts ensures he is no stranger to combat. When pressed to fight, he moves with precision and patience, his strikes the same as his remedies; measured, deliberate, and guided by purpose.

Upon being granted the rank of Jedi Knight, he served as the Jedi Watchman of the Kiffex sector. Though not directly tied to any branch of the Order, he acts as a bridge between the Jedi and his people, safeguarding the delicate balance between clan traditions, Republic oversight, and the will of the Force. However, his duty as the Kiffu Sector’s Watchman was cut short when High Councilor Amalia Feyn requested his transfer to the Duneeden Temple after escorting a Kiffar Matriarch to meet with the Jedi Council.
