The Attrition Wars
Summary
The Attrition Wars was fought between the Galactic Coalition (made up of the Galactic Alliance and the Commonwealth) against the Chiss Ascendency and the Mandalorians, from 277ABY to 302ABY. Following the Commonwealth War, the Attrition War added onto what had initially been one of the largest, and most destructive wars in the last three hundred years. The extension of the conflict only resulted in much more destruction on both sides. Political analysts, historians and social commentators speculate the destruction and rehabilitation required to recover from the conflict are still being felt today. The conflicts resulted in an economic depression, and birth of the New Galactic Republic and New Galactic Empire, and the succession of the Hapes Consortium.
